Countries have the Most International Universities in the World

 

Recently, Times Higher Education (THE) released top countries with the most international universities in the world. Based on international students, staff, reputation, and journal publications with a minimum of one international author, THE interpreted the stats. 

 

As per THE reports, the listed countries have a high ratio of international students and staff. Also, they have collaborated with scholars from across the world and carry goodwill.

 

Also, as per the year's report, 10 famous international universities in the world were a part of these 4 countries.

Singapore

On this list, The National University of Singapore (NUS) stands in the seventh position. Here, researchers collaborate with the faculties and students to tackle global issues and challenges. Nanyang Technological University, another top university in the world came in at tenth place on this list. It is a research-intensive university that covers future learning, healthcare, robotics, artificial intelligence, and more.

Hong Kong 

Hong Kong is another location with maximum international students. The colleges and universities allow these students to learn both Asian and global contexts, specializing in business. The City University of Hong Kong, one of the top universities in the world, came in place on this list, and the University of Hong Kong the second position. According to the stats report, there are 20000 students out of which 8000 are international students.

 Switzerland 

École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland’s top university ranked in the third spot, and ETH Zurich ranked at the fourth place.

International students enrolling for the university - École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne will have ample opportunities to become a part of an exchange program with other universities in Switzerland and globally. They also run a scholarship program to spend up to three months at one of its campus laboratories for students enrolled at other universities.

United Kingdom

The United Kingdom is one of the famous countries in terms of education and now has become one of the top destinations for international students. It is no surprise that the United Kingdom is listed under the category. 

Some of the top universities of the UK - Imperial College London, the University of Oxford, and the University of Cambridge, rank in the 6th, 7th, and 9th positions.

Check the Cambridge universities record, around 4000 students from over 120 different countries apply for admission. Based on international staff, the University of Oxford ranks high as 40% of staff comes from overseas.

And the Imperial College London has half of the students from overseas.
